This week I absolutely loved a visit to what used to be the Fire Station on Carnegie Drive Dunfermline and saw what has been transformed into an absolutely brilliant facility.

Fire Station Creative is a charity that was set up to renovate the iconic fire station on Carnegie Drive, Dunfermline and make a centre for all things creative. There is a gallery, cafe, classroom, art therapy suite and 21 artists’ studios.

It is a charity and social enterprise so all profits made are reinvested in the facility and its projects.

The gallery and cafe is open Wed – Sat 10am – 5pm; Sun 11am – 4pm; closed Mon-Tues.

Everyone is very welcome; the café is amazing as is the whole building and the staff and team look forward to welcoming you.

I have known the people behind this project for a few years now and have been very proud to support them. I never knew for sure if they would deliver this project and there was many who said they would not but their sheer determination, passion, knowledge and commitment was very clear from the day I met them and that is why I was determined to make sure they had every chance to succeed.

And boy have they succeeded!!

Everyone involved with the project and everyone that has helped along the way can be truly proud of what has been achieved and I would recommend a visit.
