I had the great pleasure of speaking that the AGM of the Inverkeithing Community Initiative Group this week as the members celebrated a very busy and successful year.
My message to the group was first to thank them for all their hard work, generosity and community spirt but also to reinforce the message that anything is possible when people come together and work to improve their local community and the lives of people living in that community.
The group is very focussed and vocal and have been a driving force behind the renewal of the Frazer Avenue area working with Fife Council to move the project forward. They have also organised a programme of opportunities, training and events for the area.
Well done to everyone who gives up their time to make a big effort to bring about improvement in the area and to people’s lives in Frazer Avenue and the surrounding area.
