It is that time of year again where the impact of the cold weather creates large potholes in our roads which if left unattended can have a big impact on our cars if we hit them. It is absolutely crucial that anyone seeing one of these hols reports it so the council can then get it fixed. It is also the case that if a car is damaged and the council can show they had no knowledge of the pothole then they are less liable for the damage and that is also why it is important to report all potholes.

I had asked for a site meeting with the area road engineer last week to look at a number of issues when we came across this very large pothole (photo above) in Queensferry Road Rosyth and the engineer was able to immediately phone it in as a dangerous hole that needed action taken.

To report a pothole you can phone 03451 550011 or go online to Fife Council www.fife.gov.uk
