I visited the Resonate Arts House, a not-for-profit social enterprise in Alloa, to meet with staff and volunteers.
Resonate is led by the community and run by volunteers. They take a creative approach to daily living and to supporting individuals and the community to become more resilient. They provide a wide range of opportunities for local people of all ages to just drop in, make friends and try new things.
Lord George Foulkes, Chairperson of Age Scotland was there with me and he was particularly interested to hear about the work done by Resonate through a number of activities, to overcome social isolation experienced by many older people.
