Scotland’s Towns Partnership and the Cross Party Group for Towns and Town Centres for the second year, will encourage MSPs to take some time during recess (2nd July – 4th September) to spend in their local town.

The Mid Scotland and Fife constituency covers many towns and villages and I am in the sprit of the Scotland’s Towns Partnership MSP imitative get round many of them over the summer and do some social media saying what is there. For much more information on Scotland’s Towns Partnership go to http://www.scotlandstowns.org/

On Saturday I visited Dunblane and had a great time visiting the beautiful Cathedral, the shops and had a nice breakfast in one of the many places there is to eat. There is also a park running along the river with lots to do and see.

Dunblane is also the home town of Andy and Jamie Murray and there is a famous gold post box in recognition of Andy winning the Olympic gold in 2012.

This summer if you want a day out then drop in on Dunblane, I certainly intend to return for a better look round the Cathedral and some more of that Stornoway black pudding I bought of the butcher!
