The Annual General Meeting of the 77th (Kelty Church) Scout Group celebrated another successful year with the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers all
reporting increased membership and activity throughout the year.

Chairperson Marianne MacAuley welcomed parents and members of the public and thanked everyone involved for their tireless work throughout
the year. She reported that it had been another great year for fundraising which had ensured the Kelty group had been able to take part in many camps and activities and purchase new equipment.

The Scout leaders outlined the kind of activities that had taken place throughout the year ranging for a host activities at Lochore Meadows and Fordell Firs to First Aid training and delivering the Christmas post in the village.

Local councillor Alex Rowley also attended the meeting and paid tribute to the work of the committee and leaders. He said; “The amount of
activity and opportunities for young people in the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts is just tremendous and the 77th group have gone from strength to strength since it was re-established just a few years ago. I want to pay tribute to the committee and the leaders who all give up their time to make this happen; they can be truly proud of what they have and are achieving working with young people in the village”.
