Snow falls heavy in the Lochs

Dullomuir and the crescent today
Winter weather takes toll on roads

Benarty, Kelty and Kingseat have all seen heavy snow falls this week that have meant that whilst most of west Fife is today green our
villages remains white!

The council gritters, snow tractors and all workers involved have worked hard to get as many roads and pavements clear and many local people have commented to me on the speedy response to the lasted snow fall.

The big issue for many of the streets is the impact of the snow, frost and ploughs on the roads surfaces with a number of streets having pot holes and broken surfaces. I have reported all that I have come across and will be meeting roads engineers this week to discuss the condition of the worst streets. If you come across any potholes please go on line and report them or pop into the local office. The council must respond and take action within set out timescales so let’s make sure they know when a pothole appears!
