Street consultations in Rosyth

As part of my aim to meet as many constituents as possible and listen to what you have to say I have kicked of an exercise of doing street surgeries whereby I write to residents in a street advising them of a time I will be in that street and asking them to put a poster in their window if they wish to speak to me.

Over the last two months we have worked through more than half of Rosyth and hope to complete this during the October recess. The response has been great and we had to extend the amount of time we were allocating in each streets due to the high number of people putting up the posters in the windows wanting to meet to discuss issues.

Many of the issues being raised are issues for the council and these have been getting passed on to the different services by my office and we are tracking progress. The NHS has also been an issue raised by many and again we have been taking forward specific issues raised.

Working round streets takes a lot of time but weather permitting I hope to make progress in many of the towns and villages across the constituency.
