LABOUR’S Alex Rowley was accompanied by the Scottish Labour Leader in a high profile visit to Dunfermline High Street as part of the Scottish election campaign.
Leader Iain Gray, who met shoppers and local residents, accused the SNP’s Alex Salmond of spinning a web of deceit right from the election campaign.
- SNP say unemployment is down - it has RISEN by 2,000 in the past month.
- SNP promised to write off student debt - they HAVEN’T
- SNP claim credit for new school buildings started by Labour - their Scottish Futures Trust has FAILED to deliver a single school
From Dunfermline Mr Gray told voters: “Alex Salmond has been desperately trying to deceive voters. The facts speak for themselves and people won’t be fooled by his attempt to spin a web of deceit.
“Scotland deserves a better government. For the past four years the SNP has broken over a hundred promises and wasted too much time pushing for independence.”
Alex Rowley, Fife Labour Leader and candidate, commented: “Growing the economy and bringing jobs and skills to this area and the rest of Scotland is a priority. Labour will focus on what really matters like jobs and growing the economy. That’s the message I am taking to voters and that’s Labour’s clear priority. I also welcome Labour’s plan to create 10,000 apprenticeships for our young people who are being badly let down by the SNP, LibDems in Scotland and the Tories at Westminster – who are again supported by the Liberals.”
Mr Rowley recently welcomed news that Amazon was to create hundreds of jobs at its new distribution centre under construction near Duloch.
